PORTRAIT PROJECT: A Collection of KYU Faces in Weird Places
December 2 2018 | 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM415 NW 26 Street, Miami, FL 33127
You are invited to a Gallery Exhibition: PORTRAIT PROJECT – A Collection of KYU Faces in Weird Places, featuring photography taken of our KYU staff, by our staff.
This special event celebrates a collection of photographs, captured by Anastasiya Yurkevich with help from team members, over late-night creative sessions inside and around KYU restaurant over the past year. Each photo aims to capture the essence of KYU team members in a unique, playful and truly individual style.
This event celebrates the many personalities found within the Hospitality Industry. Often referred to as the waiting room, restaurants are often unexpectedly filled with larger than life personalities and we’re honored to say KYU is no exception. We are excited to share our creative body of work with you – as a loyal patron of KYU, friend and ultimately family.
Portrait Project will be used to raise funds for a charity near and dear to our hearts, the Cameron G. Scholderer Scholarship Endowment., with donation based drink tickets.
The KYU family and Hospitality community experienced a sudden loss on November 30, 2016 with the passing of our talented bar manager, Cameron G. Scholderer. The endowment will provide scholarships for students following in Cameron’s footsteps and pursuing a career in beverage management at the Chaplin School. Recipients of the scholarship will carry on the legacy of Cameron’s commitment to mentorship by becoming mentors themselves to each new recipient of the award, passing along Cameron’s story of hard work and determination. We will be hosting a silent auction and taking donations in an effort to reach our goal of $5000 for the endowment.
Feel free to invite as many people as you’d like and support this great cause! Entry is free. Drink tokens will be given with donations.
Street Parking is available, or Valet at KYU with a short walk.
