Pastry Sous Chef - Miami

Miami native Jhanai, has been whipping up sweet dreams since childhood. Fueled by a passion ignited in elementary school, she honed her skills at Johnson & Wales University, graduating with an Associate of Science in Baking and Pastry Arts. Her diverse pastry journey began with internships in Miami’s various kitchens. She gained experience in diverse culinary settings, where she gained invaluable experience and the confidence to experiment with different flavor profiles. Her family’s diverse Caribbean background, and strong faith has lead her to become KYU Miami’s Pastry sous chef, with the goal of spreading joy to others with every sweet bite!


In her downtime, you can find Jhanai catching up on the latest anime, outdoor roller skating, spending time with her friends & family or conjuring up exciting new pastry creations for her to share.
