Eric Sorenson

General Manager - Las Vegas

Eric grew up in Sacramento, CA, and moved to Las Vegas to go to college in 1993. While in college, he worked at a local tanning salon and felt he could improve the service. During college, he opened three locations from the ground up and quickly became the largest tanning salon business in Las Vegas with sales exceeding $2 million per year. After graduating with a degree in Hospitality from UNLV, he decided to put his degree to work and began in the Nightlife Industry. He was hired on with Caesars Entertainment as Assistant General Manager of Crown Entertainment at the Rio Hotel. He quickly advanced to General Manager of Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub and Steakhouse where he remained for a few years. Eric continued his career working for the largest hotels in Las Vegas including Station Casinos, The M Resort, and MGM International. He has worked with several big-name chefs including Seonkyoung Longest, Hubert Keller, and Charlie Palmer and post-COVID re-opened Fleur De Lys and Aureole Restaurants at Mandalay Bay. Eric spent the most time with Anthony Taormina, currently the Executive Chef at L’Atelier by Joel Robuchon.

With over 25 years in leadership roles within the hospitality sector, he most recently had the pleasure of being part of the opening team for KYU RESTAURANT in Las Vegas. Working closely with Fontainebleau Management, KYU is quickly becoming a popular brand in Las Vegas.

His ethos revolves around the diligent pursuit of success and the nurturing of a collaborative and thriving team culture. Alongside his dedication to his craft, he is blessed with a beautiful wife, Rachel, and three remarkable children: Alyssa (25), Eric Jr. (23), and Dreden (18). When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his beloved family, close friends, and two loyal canine companions.
